Made From Rapidly Renewable Bamboo

Foundations Bamboo FlooringThe Foundations line of bamboo flooring combines durability, style, and affordability with high environmental standards. Foundations flooring comes in tongue and groove options, as well as their Tru-lock system for floating floors, unique for the way the lock system is milled into the board. Their strand woven Tru-lock system bamboo is suitable for installation over radiant heating floors.

Low emitting binders are used to glue the strips that create this beautiful bamboo floor and all of their products are free of urea formaldehyde. As well, foundations uses a water based, low-VOC, aluminum oxide cured finish to coat the floor. As with all of our bamboo products, Foundations flooring is made from Moso bamboo, the hardest, highest quality species of bamboo, and the stalks have been properly harvested at 5 1/2 to 7 years of age.

Foundations Flooring is:

  • Sturdy, click lock system is milled directly into the board
  • Hardness of 2,600 Psi
  • Harvested at 5 1/2 to 7 years to insure constant color, clarity, hardness and fiber stability
  • Rapidly renewable bamboo is a great alternative to temperate and tropical forest woods which take decades to grow
  • Low VOC
